How long does a Russian manicure last? We measured 549 return visits.

Every salon answers this question with an opinion. We answer it with our booking records: 933 completed appointments, 214 clients, 549 measured intervals between one visit and the next, over six months in one Boca Raton studio.

What we measured โ€” and what we did not

We measured when clients actually came back. That is not the same as how long the product physically stays on the nail: some people return early for a change of colour, some stretch a set past its best. It is, however, the closest real-world number anybody in this category has published, and it beats a guess.

The numbers

Median return: 25 days. Half of all repeat visits happened sooner than that, half later. The middle 50% of visits fell between 20 and 30 days.

What this means if you are booking

If you want your hands to look finished continuously, book the next appointment three to four weeks out โ€” that is where two thirds of real visits land. Booking at two weeks is early for most people; past five weeks, regrowth at the base is usually visible to you before it is visible to anyone else.

Your own interval depends on how fast your nails grow and what you do with your hands. Your technician will tell you honestly what to expect for your nails rather than quote a number that sells.
